Pratt, Jr., master of ceremonies. Bankers of Jones county organized an organization. Meal served at the Cooper Hotel. Mrs. L..D. Cooper, Proprietress of the hotel provided the meal. City Beauty Shoppe Mrs. Pat Stokes Direct Mattress Company Tom Wright, pioneer of Jones county, dropped dead at Moran while enroute to Fort Worth, Monday. Mr. Wright is an old settler of Jones county and lived near Nugent. Chas. Stifflemire and Clark King left for Moran Tuesday to accompany the body to Lueders. The Davis Cafe changed hand Friday when Guy E. Register bought out Mr. Davis. Mr. Davis left Friday for Oklahoma. Bert Schwartz, 24, died suddenly Monday, was buried at Haskell Wednesday afternoon. Funeral service was held at the home of Mr. Schwatrzís mother, Mrs. Bruce, on East Moran Street Wednesday afternoon and the remains carried to Haskell for interment. Mr. Schwartz, who was employed as a mechanic at Hedbergís Garage complained of a pain in his head Monday. Survivors: His mother, several brothers and a sister: Gene and Grove Schwartz of Stamford; Frank Schwartz of Shanghai, China; Harry Schwartz of Ogden, UT; Mrs. Ethel Curley of NM Barrow Furniture in charge.
