R.A. Stewart succeeds Rev. Doak as pastor of St. Johnís Church. Stewart of Plainview begins new pastor this Sunday. He has been presiding Elder of the Plainview district for the past four years and was pastor at Plainview before that time. He has a wife and two children: daughter - Virginia; son - Frederick. B.G. Wallace, one of the pioneer citizens of Stamford, died at his home here early Tuesday morning. Funeral was held at First Baptist church Tuesday afternoon at 5:00. Service was conducted by Rev. W.C. Moffett, assisted by Rev. Morris, veteran Methodist minister. Body was shipped to Conyers, Georgia, for burial, leaving here Wednesday morning. Mr. Wallace was 74 years of age. He was closely identified with the early growth and development of Stamford. Besides his widow, he is survived by three sons: John L. and Clifford E. Wallace of Stamford and David P. Wallace of Waco and by a daughter, Miss Maggie Mae Wallace. Mr. and Mrs. C.E. Wallace and David P. Wallace accompanied the body to Georgia for burial. Barrow Furniture Company had charge. Swenson Bros. ship 18 cars of cattle last Saturday. R.M. Kinard Motor Co. Used Cars Infant son of Mr. and Mrs. G.A. Morton died Saturday and was buried Sunday. Rev. Gentry conducted the funeral services at Clear Fork cemetery. The Stamford Inn Orchestra, composed of Dick Rowland, Wm. Cook, A. Daniels, Tom Bastick and Mrs. J.C. Pinson. Margaret Kincy of near Rule passed away on Nov. 10th at the home of her son, Lee Kincy. Sister Margaret Kincy was born in Wilcox county, Alabama, June 1st 1847. She was married to Ben Cobb in1871. To this union was born one son, two months after her husband died. She was married five years later to A.B. Kincy. To this union, was born, one son. This husband died January 16, 1915. She then made her home with Lee Kincy and has mothered his two baby girls to young womanhood, making a part of three family of orphans, besides her own two boys, that this dear sister has mothered. She came to Texas in her early married life and most of the rest of her life has been spent in Robertson, Texas, until the last two years, which have been spent in Haskell county. Sister Kincy united with the Baptist church when a very small girl, living close to her vows in this church until she was married to Mr. Kincy, then she went with him to the church of his choosing, namely, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints. This church was located at Bethlehem School House in Robertson, Texas. Sister Kincy was one of six sisters, one of whom preceded her to the grave only a few days, leaving now only one sister of the six, Mrs. Sallie Eaton of Rochester. Sister Kincy is survived by her two sons, Ben Cobb of Sagerton and Lee Kincy of Rule, together with six grandchildren in Haskell. -- Mrs. Zela Dungan, Stamford.
