Shamburger Lumber Yard is nearly finished. Lumber yard on corner of Weatherbee street is owned by C.D. Shamburger Lumber Company, Inc. of Wichita Falls. F.T. Cope of Wichita Falls is in charge of the opening of the lumber yard here. Local manager will be J.C. Vaden, formerly with the Western Produce Company. The Shamburger people have erected a two story building at the northwest corner of the yard. Lyles Economy Store South side square Big Improvements on West McHarg Walker-Smith Grocery Company Service Station just completed by Mr. Bounds. The Station is built of brick and concrete and has a double driveway. Attractively tinted stucco adds to the beauty of the place. Gasoline is supplied from three visible pumps of the latest type. The Filing Station is operated for the present by Mr. Bounds, himself, but the others buildings of the group have been leased to others. The Garage Building is occupied by Lawhon & Jones. Facing on McHarg and next to the Filling Station is a neat little cafe, operated by Henry Crump. The other building will be occupied by a Grocery Store, January 1st. W.R. Moore, who comes from Kaufman county, will be the proprietor of the store. J.C. Elliott of the Moran News, took charge of the Lueders Leader Tuesday. Mr. W.R. Elliott has accepted a position as editor of the Throckmorton Tribune. The O.A. Tunnell cafe has been sold to C.O. Phillips of Jayton. Dr. J.H. Payne, father of Joe Payne, manager of the Bryant Stamford Store died at his home in Columbus, Colorado County, Texas on Thanksgiving Day. Body was laid to rest on Friday at Columbus.
