The Grand Jury found 43 bills and has adjourned. Capt. T.A. White is erecting a new residence in the south part of town, west of Commercial Avenue. Judge L.M. Buie and Miss Jennie, his sister was here Sunday. Miss Birtie Martin and G.B. Wallace of Stamford were here Sunday. A.D. Lively and family moved to Abilene last Thursday, where they will make their future home. Mr. John Morris of Nugent is in Anson today. Mr. Ed Martin has a new baby girl at his house and bought a new phonograph, and is prepared to have music galore. Sammons & Shipp, North side square, Stamford, Texas Furniture Upright and mantle folding beds E. Anderson of Funston placed his brother, Grayson Anderson of Munday on our subscription. T.P. Stockton editor of the Cisco Round-Up was in Stamford today. B.W. Gay places his father’s name on the News roll. Mr. Gay lives at Weedowee, Ala. Married - Claud Jones and Miss Zada Arnold in the Methodist church at Nugent Sunday, Jan. 21st Elder Kennedy of the Baptist church officiating. The bride and groom accompanied Miss Milia Jones, the groom’s sister, came to Stamford Sunday evening and stopped at the Inn. They returned to Nugent Monday morning. Married - At the home of Mr. F.S. Hastings, Mr. George Albert Robinson and Miss Bessie Marion Clark at 9 o’clock a.m., Jan. 21. Rev. J.A. Biggs officiating. The bride is a sister of Mrs. Hastings and recently came from Kansas City. Mr. Robinson is a businessman of Kansas City. The bridal party left for Kansas City on the morning train.
