Walter Glasscock sold his half section of land to a Mr. Hines of Johnson Co. We are informed that he will go into the livery business of this place. Mrs. Malcum Johnson has a very sick child at this time. The school at White Pond is progressing nicely with more than 60 scholars enrolled. Editor Masters was in town from Anson. Local and Personal W.J. Rosemond plans on putting in a large gin plant. W.H. smith and wife were up from Spring Creek. Rev. J.A. Biggs, came in from Arkansas a few days and has since bought the residence owned Mrs. S.E. Owen on McHarg avenue and will reside in Stamford. Sion Pogue, son of Mr. and Mrs. S.R. Pogue died at the home of his parents last Saturday morning of pneumonia. He was about 18 years of age and had good health until this attack. The burial was in the Stamford cemetery Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. John Knight’s baby has been quite sick for several days with pneumonia.
