Plainview Davie Miller of Floydada is visiting relatives here. Miss Willie Fuller has gone to Denton for college. Ice cream was at Mr. and Mrs. J.I. Clark with music by Prof. Freeman of Wetumka, I.T. Sam Coleman had business near Pinkerton. Gilbert Bandel of Flat Top attended the musical. Miss Nellie Morgan is on sick list. roe Miller of Marcy spent time with relatives. Claudie Clark got a new pony and saddle. George Kennedy of the Swenson Ranch in (Cottle county) passed through here Saturday enroute to Stamford and Anson. Anson Allsorts County court is grinding right along. Cases disposed of: State of Texas vs. Morgan Camp, charged with unlawfully cutting loose fence from neighbor. Trial found guilty and fined $2. Carl Shaw charged with giving a minor whisky, found not guilty. W.W. Reid charged with theft. W. Howard, charged with allowing minor in Pool room, found not guilty in one case, and one case continued. Will Moore charged with exhibiting game table, continued. Williams vs. Burleson, suit for Drs. bill something over $500.00 case now on trial. Wedding licenses issued: Lewis Gutierres and Rosa Topez, R.L. Tinker and Miss Nora Powell. H.C. Bush and Miss B.C. Foster. 6 deaths, 47 births - 22 girls, 22 boys. Bro. Z.B. Pirtle is attending the Georgetown school for ministers during June. McKie Myres carried his sister Mrs. John Castles to Stamford for the train. Sunny Side Our Sunday school superintendent is J.R. Gains and not Glenn as stated last week. Pastor Mangham preached. Mr. N. Link reported a large crowd. Thomas Zimmerman and W.R. Roberson started their binders Monday. Mr. Foote and wife of Fairview spent Sunday with Mr. N. Link. Corinth Cullings Ice Cream social at home of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Levins Saturday night. Miss Bert Terrell of Fort Worth is visiting her sister, Mrs. Bagwell. Miss Ruth Harmon, will leave in a few days. Mr. Geo. Hubbard was in Stamford. Mr. Edmonston made a trip to Stamford. Wiley Hughes made a trip to Anson. Jack Watts and family visiting in the Spring Creek neighborhood. Chas. Collier and family of Haskell were guests of the Bagwell home. Miss Emma Teurman is visiting her brother at Plainview. Miss Myrtle Hughes left Tuesday for a visit to relatives in Knox county. Misses Alma and Bertie Moon went to Avoca. Rev. Long of Anson conducted the services of the Christian church. From Liberty Miss Laura Cooper of Stamford visited Mrs. A.R. Clary. Mrs. Alma Griffin of Haskell visited Mrs. W.C. Cannon. Dave Gillespie of Pleasant Valley was visiting the T.J. Cannon family. Messrs. Adams, Dotson and Weaver attended the singing. There will be a meeting of the patrons of Liberty School at the school house. Local and Personal Mrs. L.F. Shaw has been sick and has appendicitis. J.F. P’Poole, Cashier of the Munday National Bank and Will Baker, a merchant of Munday were in town this week. Crawford Cobb, editor of the Dickens City and T.J. Harkney, a merchant of Dickens City, went down on the train to Cisco, Monday. Earnest and Willie Brown of Sherman, Texas, are visiting their sisters, Mrs. T.O. Williams and Mrs. W.E. Matthews. W.L. Thornton of the Sandersville neighborhood was in town and renewed. Mr. Thornton is an old citizen of Jones county and is one of its best farmers. Mr. Will Culwell and Miss Fannie Copeland, Miss Bamie Copeland and Miss Hanna Caton were up from Spring Creek neighborhood. Horace Biggs came Tuesday evening from Dequeen, Ark., to visit his parents for ten days. Miss Mirvin Byars, one of our music teachers, left Wednesday for her home in Waco to spend the holidays. Calvin Cargill, Mable Taylor and Jack Medley came yesterday evening on the train from the Deaf and Dumb Asylum at Austin. They have all been in the school there the past session.
