Hills followed to City of Mexico, San Luis Potosi, Tampico, Mexico. Wired officers there. Arrest followed Wednesday. Permitted change of clothes. Swallowed sulphuric acid concealed in trunk. Lived thirty minutes. Body identified by us. Burial tomorrow. -- R.D. Senter and O.H. Buck. Hills assumed the name of Jerold C. Willis and under that name was arrested and committed suicide in Tampico. That the body of the dead man would be buried in Tampico was also told The Record yesterday by The Record correspondent at Haskell. Sheriff R.D. Senter came in on the train Monday evening. He says the reports in the papers of his trip to Mexico for the arrest of J.D. Hills are in the main correct. He and Mr. I.H. Buck, deputy sheriff of Tarrant county were not present at the arrest. Their train was delayed for 24 hours, and fearing that Hill would leave on steamer for Cuba, they telegraphed the Mexican officers to arrest him. When changing his clothes before going to jail he grabbed a bottle of poison he had in his trunk and drank considerable quantity before it could be gotten from him. He died in 21 minutes after taking the poison. Sheriff Senter at the Inn Monday night exhibited several photographs of the dead man taken some 15 hours after death. It was easy to recognize Hills.
