Smith Sagerton, Texas The new buildings erected in Stamford in the last year, both in residences and business houses, have been the most elegant and substantial of all that have been substantial of all that have been built in the town. The two story brick on the South side with its large and beautiful store room below, occupied by D. Egger & Son, and the Masonic Temple above, would be a credit to any city. The Pattillo building on the corner of Swenson and McHarg avenues, now nearing completion, gives an air of solidity and permanency to the whole town. The building is 100 feet by 50, two stories with basement full size. The walls are constructed of large cut stone from the quarries at Clear Fork, decidedly the best building stone in the country. The awning extends to the full width of the sidewalk and is suspended from the wall by large bars of iron. The roofing is a preparation of asbestos making it fireproof. Mr. Frank Whitley has been in charge of construction. Sunday morning at the home of Rev. F.S. Groner, Tom Jenkins and Miss Pearl West, and R.L.
