Wallace as editor and proprietor. Building boom in Lueders. Baker-Bryant house will open a store. Webb & Hill will open a bank, Culwell & Co. will open a store. Local News Mr. and Mrs. N.R. Winkley of Rt. 1 paid a visit. Mr. and Mrs. J.M. Grimsley and wife have returned. J.W. Rodgers of Collin county, but now located 10 miles north of Stamford was in town. Mr. C. Janssen came from Rocky Ford, Colorado to Stamford to do the work for his sick friend Rev. Harms of Sagerton. F.E. White, foreman of News office went to Anson. Mr. Hamblett sold his residence to Mr. Warren at Clarendon. S.J. Thomas of Comanche has sold his paper “The Chief” to Mr. E.E. Anthony of that place. Mr. Hamblett and family will soon leave Hamlin. Hamlin Guaranty Investment Co. Hamlin, Texas East Side Millinery Store Miss M.E. Barnett, Proprietress Linsey & Jackson have bought the City Barber Shop and will continue in the old stand near the post office. Mrs. J.E. Morris who has been visiting her daughter, Mrs. W.B. Amison, left for her home at Moran. District Preacher’s Meeting of the Abilene District was held in the Methodist Church in Stamford. Present: Rev. J.R. Morris, Rev. Bruce Meadow of Baird., Revs. J.H. Chambliss, J.W. Rowlett, M.M. Beavers, J.A. Holler, E.H. Mays, J.N. Vincent, T.N. Lowery, N.J. Peaples, J.A. Biggs, R.E.L. Stutts, Judge Tillett, E.B. Bynum of Abilene, Rev. Jerome Duncan. The Cornell murder case which was set for this week in the District Court at Anson was called Tuesday. The Southern Presbyterian church in our city have about completed their plans for the erection of a church in the colonial style on the lot in the north part of town.
