Captain Glasscock has resigned his position as the postmaster at McCaulley. -- McCaulley Tribune Breckenridge, Democrat Little Doyle Sadler, son of Mr. and Mrs. E.S. Sadler died Sunday evening at 3:30, of meningitis after an illness of about a week. The little fellow was about 15 months of age. The burial service was conducted by Rev. F.S. Groner Monday morning and the burial was in the Stamford Cemetery. Wednesday evening the fire alarm was given, and the people responded en masse to the call. The barn on the Donon place on Oliver Street was on fire. It was too far from a water plug for the fire boys to do any effective service. The building was all aflame when the alarm was given. The fire was confined to the barn, and originated from some boys smoking cigarettes. On and after March 25th, we will close our places of business at 7 p.m. until Sept. 15th, 1907. Taylor. -- Nathan Leavitt, Postmaster Dr. Roberts of the Stamford Medical Institute is an authority on diseases of the eye, ear, nose and throat. Mr. O.E. Bonner, of Claytonville, Fisher county, was a caller at our office. Mr. Bonner is appointing agents for a musical device known as the Campfield Music Table. J.L. Odell and J.F. Lawley of Haskell, have bought an interest in the Herald, the firm should be known as the Haskell Publishing Co. Rev. J.H. Shepard of the Haskell Herald was a called at our office Monday. Mrs. J.N. Hale died at her home on South side last Saturday at about 11:30 in the morning. Mrs. Hale had been seriously ill for sometime with pneumonia. The interment was in the Stamford cemetery Sunday evening at 3 o’clock. Mrs. Hale was a member o the Baptist church, and died in the Christian faith. She left a husband and five children, the youngest 14 months of age. Mrs. W.L. Seagrave, Mrs. Hale’s father, was called from Weatherford and Mr. V.M. Hale of Grayham, Mr. Hales brother, with his family were here at the burial.
