Avoca Doings
	Material has arrived for the construction of the Swenson Gin.
	Floyd Halbrooks left for his home in Alabama.
	Mrs. O.A. Matthews is visiting her mother, Mrs. J.B. Shaw of Haskell county.
	
Plainview Snap Shots
	Laura Jones, Ella Smith, Jessie Funderburk, Ellie Kilgrove and Bebee Kilgrove 
	visited our school.
	There was preaching at Fairview.
	Miss Maud Dixon is visiting her brother, L.C. Dixon of near Plainview.
	Mrs. C.A. Moore has been visiting her sons, Messrs. F.E. and T.J. Benham.
	
Anson All-Sorts
	Simons Tented Opera Show in town.
	Mr. Marsh’s trial closed last night, and Judge Stinson granted him bail at $6,000.
	Feb. 27 births and 3 deaths; March, 73 births, 14 deaths; April 75 births, 25 deaths
	Prof. Allen is superintendent of Anson High School and appointed County Superintendent.

The Review and News of Hico have consolidated and formed the Hico News-Review. The
editorial department will be under Mr. E.A. Heath, who has been editor and manager of
the Review. Mr. R.K. Jacks, former publisher of the News has taken the management of
the new weekly. A stock company has been formed with $8,000 stock, all paid in.
