State Center Nurseries I.D. Irion & Son Clyde, Texas Local and Personal Sam Qualls of Sagerton spent Saturday in town. Jeff Fitzgerald of Ft. Worth came to town to visit Dr. B.S. McCurdy and family. On Monday night, a large window was broken out of C.M. Pattillo’s hardware store and the pot of money, which was in the show window was stolen. Mr. Pattillo has advertised for all who have keys to this pot to return them and if the right key has been given out he will make the loss good. Lueders is forging to the front. Lueders is going to build a $10-15,000 school building; her business men have got iron in their blood. -- Lueders Vanguard W.R. Barnes, colored, who is working at the Inn, accidentally stabbed himself last Saturday night. He was walking along between the Tribune Office and Johnson Bros. Drug Store, sharpening a stick, when he stumped his toe on a rock and fell on his open knife. The knife entered his knee, making a deep wound. He at once had his leg dressed by the doctor. Special Service A.B. Barret, President of the Christian College at Abilene will deliver a Free Illustrated Lecture in the Christian Church House Saturday night, May 25th, 1907 on the subject, “The Voice of History” or “Why We Exist” He will also preach for the Church three times the following Lord’s Day For the benefit of the public, we have arranged to retail ice at Haskew’s Meat Market. This will be under the management of Haskew Bros. Stamford Ice and Refrigeration Co.
