Hastings, president of the Commercial Club have set apart Friday, June 28th, 1907 for a Grand Clean Up. Let the women in each block organize at once, elect their own leader, enlist all the men and children and have them ready to start early Friday morning, June 28th. Rake all the burnable rubbish into piles and burn. All the unbearable rubbish should be put in piles and alleys and city will remove. All weeds on sidewalks, streets, alleys, Public Square and private property should be cut and put into piles and City will haul away. Judgment fro defendant. -- Jones County Talk Willie May Strange, age 9 months, died last Friday at the Wichita Valley railroad section house of whooping cough and was buried in the Stamford cemetery. M. Birk, age 55 years, residing on Dave Garron’s place on Paint Creek, died Tuesday, death resulting from measles. He was a well-to-do farmer and leaves a family to mourn his loss.
