Dr. Nole, old friend of Dr. J.J. Harlan was in town. Bill Medford, former resident of Stamford was visiting. Charlie Proctor of Fairview is building a home on College Addition. Mrs. Fred Ragsdale left for Rotan to be with her husband at their future home. Prof. Mary Phillips left Weatherford to make Stamford her home. Prof. J.H. Crabbe will leave for Abilene to accept a position with the Simmons College as Piano Instructor. Fairview Notes Mr. and Mrs. Hames of Knox Co. spent last week with Mr. and Mrs. Gardiner. Tuxedo is on a boom. A new gin and bank going up, other buildings will be erected soon. Mr. Griffin sold his farm last week for $40 per acre. Mrs. Arnold was in Stamford. Messrs. Jim Link and J.N. Rush were in Stamford. Rooms to rent, apply to J.K. Dickenson. Last Sunday night, Mr. S.R. Brasher and brother, Alton, were in the cellar during the storm. Lightning came through the cellar knocking the two brothers down. - Haskell Herald.
