Mr. Editor: It will sell for $100.00 per front foot for 100 feet deep, and lease 150 square feet for the City Hall and drive-way in the rear to all stores. Local and Personal F.T. Johnson attended services at Spring Creek. W.H. Grubbs went to Hamlin to look after the interests of the Stamford Publishing Co. Raymond Spencer went to Avoca to take a position with the Slover Culwell Co. Mr. Starkey Duncan of San Bernadino, Cal. is spending the week with his brother, Rev. Jerome Duncan. The Westmoreland Addition lot sale will be held on August 21, 22, and 23. H.M. Legan has been attending the Rule and Haskell picnic. Mr. and Mrs. W.R. West and baby spent Saturday on the Dickey Ranch, 4 miles east of Sagerton. J.H. Lanier of Carney has moved his plant to Knox City, and we will be blessed with two papers. - Knox County News. Streets are looking good. All parties caught sprinkling other than the hours named will be cut off without notice. Walker of Pleasant Valley. Eugene Knight of Lorena was in town. Henry Portwood, formerly of this place, has been in the jewelry business at Bridgeport for 2 years. Mrs. A.B. Cunningham, who has been visiting her father, G.B. Astin of this city left for Lueders to visit relatives. From Lueders, she will go to Comanche and then home to Abilene. Pleasant Valley News Mrs. Tom Morrell is sick. George McNurry left for Valley Mills. Miss Pearl Moody visited J.W. Jackson. E.W. Walker and wife visited his father near Avoca. Mark Lavender’s mother of Hill county is visiting him. Mrs. Lavendar and mother-in-law visited Tom Osborn. Haynes Brothers have returned from Knox county where they have prospecting. J.W. Jackson and family attended the Spring Creek meeting. Mr. Eli Elkin’s son has been visiting from Baird. Mack Dantzer spent 3 days visiting relatives in Stamford. Guy Harrison and wife were at the Spring Creek meeting. Mrs. Sewell Adams left for her old home near Penick City to visit relatives.
