On Thursday, Aug. 22, 1907, death came to the home of M.L. and Simyra Caffey and claimed from them their sweet little baby boy, Pirtle Preston, of only one year and a few months of age.. - Western Reporter At the residence of Rev. J.A. Hyder in South Anson, Sunday, Aug. 25th, Mr. Wiley Attaway and Miss Vina Foster were married. - Western Reporter Sad indeed was the news passed over the wires Saturday, Aug. 24th, when it was known that the brave spirit of Dr. J.E. Lindsey had passed to be with his God. He was an old and much loved citizen and physician of Haskell. Dr. Lindsey was nearing his 59th birthday and had been a consistent member of the Baptist church since he was 18 years of age. His wife, has lost a good and devoted husband, his children a fond and devoted father. On last Saturday, Mrs. Frank Crow became suddenly ill and rapidly grew worse, until Sunday night when death came to relieve her suffering. The doctor pronounced death due from inflammation of the brain. The body was interred in Mount Hope cemetery Monday, Rev. J.H. Edmonds conducting the funeral. - Western Reporter Correction The difficulty in relation to the death of Mr. Wallace had nothing to do with his brother-in-law, Mr. Ham.
