Harris, Mrs. Melvin Whittington and Miss Bessie Marshall were united in marriage, Rev. F.S. Groner officiating. The bride is a sister of Mrs. Geo. Harris. Mr. Whittington holds a responsible position with the Baker-Bryant Co. Citizen’s National Bank is still in business. Sagerton Dots Rolan Bros. are having bad luck with their gin. Have a hole in their boiler now. Jack Davis of Stonewall county is home again from Sweetwater where has been superintending the Sweetwater gin. The bank building is nearing completion. Misses Maggie and Mora Davis of Halvert, Texas., are visiting their uncle, J.A. Davis of Stonewall county. A. Toun has opened a short order and cold drink stand. J.A. Copeland ships 2 cars of cattle today. Park Caudle, wife and mother left Sunday for Fort Worth. Liberty Happenings J.H. Patric went to Wichita Falls. Ernest Bizzell of Sagerton was in Stamford. Punnie Sandle has been enjoying himself. Miss May Woodson of Avoca was in Stamford. Joe Womack, one of Liberty’s most prominent farmers has been sick. Otis Jackson failed to get to Swain’s Chapel for services last Sunday due to the mud. C.H. Humphrey was in Stamford. Linnard Tunnel was in Stamford. Will Nehiden will be with his girl. Pascall Luttrell has been looking sad. Stamford Post Office Advertised Letters, Oct. 10, 1907 Elmer C. Patterson, J.H. Davis, Burnson Prescott, M.D. Parks, Len Hammer, Earnest Haney, G.W. Ganer, J.L. Widener, S.T. Malone, Cass Smith, Rufus Stetling, Miss Callie Bennett, Henry Laader, John M. Leiser, T.J. Mayers, Mrs. John Gleason, Sr. Estban Barron. Local and Personal J.W. Williams of Clyde, visited his daughter, Mrs. Golightly this week. Dr. R.R. Shepard of Anson was in town for the Medical association. John Barrett, from Blooming Grove came to Stamford for his future home. Carl Headburg and wife have been in New York. Sam Whiteside left for Ennis. Mr. Whiteside had worked for the Kirkpatrick Jewelry Co. until they sold out. E.C. Loggins, a former resident of this place is in the city in the interest of the West Texas Business College, located at Abilene. Messrs. Grove C. Forrester and Ben Guinn of the firm of Penick-Hughes Co., at Munday was here to see Pawnee Bill’s show. Miss Mamie Medlin, of Munday is here visiting her sister, Mrs. Hal Willis. Herbert Willeford of Blooming Grove came in Tuesday night to accept a position with R.M. Dickenson. J.L. Bostick, who lives a mile north of Tuxedo, was in town. Mr. Sanders, from Hill county came in prospecting for a location for an ice cream factory. Everybody invited to the Oriental Tiffin and Japanese Wedding at the home of Mrs. McAlveen, on Friday afternoon and evening, Oct. 25th. Opera House All Week Commencing Monday Night Matinee Wednesday and Saturday Rentfrow’s “Jolly Pathfinders” The Biggest Repertoire Company on the Road Mrs. Ide Jones Dies At 8 o’clock a.m. October 8th Mr. Ide Jones died at his home in South Stamford. Mr. Jones moved to this place about two years ago. He had been in poor health for several years and moved west hoping his condition would improve. He was confined to his bed about a month before the end came. The deceased was about 30 years old and leaves a wife and 3 children. The funeral services were conducted by the I.O.O.F. Lodge and were held at the residence in South Stamford at 10 o’clock a.m. Wednesday. The burial was in the City Cemetery. F.T. Johnson Jeweler
