Willie B. Davis Rites in Stamford

STAMFORD - Willie B. Davis, 64, of Springville, AZ, died Monday in the
Veteran's Administration Hospital in Albuquerque, NM, following a 2-1/2 week
illness.

He was born 2 October 1896 at Decatur, TX. He had been employed as a cook in
Springville, AZ. He was a veteran of World War 1.

Funeral in the Kinney funeral Home chapel in Stamford. Rev. J.B. Chick, pastor
of Calvary Baptist church in Stamford will officiate. Burial in HIghland
cemetery.

Members ofthe local American Legion and VFW and the Texas National Guard will be
in charge of military burial rites.

Survivors: his wife, Louise; 2 sons - Preston B. and Clarence D. of Long Beach,
CA; 1 daughter - Mrs. R.T. Patterson of Long Beach; 2 brothers - Arthur and Virgil
of Lubbock; 2 sisters - Mrs. Archie McKay of Crane, Mrs. Donnie Johnson of
Stamford; 5 grandchildren.
