Donald Ray ÒDaddy DonÓ Caffey, 71, of Stamford, died Wednesday, July 19, 2006 in an 
Abilene hospital. Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 22, 2006 
at St. JohnÕs United Methodist Church with Rev. John Erwin officiating. Burial 
followed in Pleasant Valley Cemetery under the direction of Kinney-Underwood Funeral 
Home. 

Don was born March 14, 1935 in Haskell to the late James T. and 
Winifred West Caffey. He graduated from Stamford High School in 1954. He married 
Juanita Franklin on October 30, 1954 in Haskell. She died July 19, 1978. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; and two brothers, Durwood Caffey, and 
Nolan Caffey.

Surviving Don are one daughter, Susie McLellan of Stamford; two granddaughters, 
Emery Letz and husband Casey of Old Glory, and Erin Lowack and husband Ricky of 
Sagerton; six great-grandchildren, Madisyn, Rylan, Cale, Morgan, Dakota, and Raelea; 
one sister, Modell Cannon; a long time companion, Debra Liles of Stamford and her 
children and grandchild, Bridgett, John, and Brooklyn, several nieces and nephews, 
and his faithful dog Taco. 

Serving as pallbearers were Randy Denson, Max Olson, Jerry Terrell, Roddy Kuenstler, 
Ricky Lowack, Casey Letz, Mike Lusk, and Jonathon Alvarado.
