Susie Lee Hart

Susie Lee Hart, 98, of Stamford, passed away on Thursday at a local nursing 
facility. Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Temple Baptist Church 
with Rev. Jessie Morton officiating. Burial followed in the Hooker Cemetery in 
Stonewall County under the direction of Tankersley Funeral Home of Stamford. 

Susie was born April 15, 1908 to Jack and Mary Webb in Haskell County. 
She married B.L. (Jack) Hart in Brownwood, TX on December 11, 1928. She was a 
homemaker and a member of the Temple Baptist Church. 

She is survived by 1 son, Jack Hart and wife Cheryl of Hawley and 1 daughter, Mary 
Kathryn Eckels of Stamford, 2 grandsons, Jay Hart of View, and Kelly Hart and wife 
Debra of Hawley, and 4 great grand children. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of over 58 years, 1 son Don 
Hart and 1 brother, George Webb. 

The family asks that memorials be made to the Hospice of the Big Country, 4601 
Hartford, Abilene, Texas 79605.
