MRS. LETA BARBEE

Anson - Funeral for Mrs. Andrew J. (Leta) Barbee, 79, pioneer Jones County
resident, will be at 4 p.m. Friday in the Anson Church of Christ with the Dr.
Rex Kyker, head of the Abilene Christian College speech department, officiating,
assisted by Howard Swinney, minister of the Anson Church of Christ.

Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, directed by Lawrence Funeral Home of Anson

Mrs. Barbee died at 5:40 p.m. Wednesday in Anson General Hospital.

Born Leta Calloway March 27, 1889 in Hill County, she married Andrew Barbee
March 6 1910 near Noodle, where they lived and farmed until Mr. Barbee's death
in 1961. A resident of Anson since 1965, Mrs. Barbee was member of the Anson
Church of Christ.

Survivors include six sons, Carl of San Bruno, Calif., L.G. and A.J. of Dallas,
Weldon and Bobby Lee of Abilene, Glen of Soap Lake, Wash.; two daughters, Mrs.
J.E. (Leta Fay) Touchstone of Anson, Mrs. Leonard (Dorothy) Read of San Antonio;
16 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren.
