Funeral was held at Kinney Funeral Chapel beginning at 3:00 Sunday afternoon. The Rev. P.D. O'Brien, pastor of the First Baptist church here and Rev. Joel V. Grimes, Avoca Baptist pastor, officiated. Burial was in Highland cemetery. Brown was born July 27, 1886, in Lee county. He had lived, here since 1906. He was engaged in cattle buying at the time of his death.
