Frizell, of Stamford, died at the family home at Rule, Sunday, 9 August 1936. Funeral service was held at the family home with Rev. Marvin Boyd, Methodist minister officiating. The Odd Fellows lodge had charge of the burial service at the cemetery. He had been an active member of the Methodist chruch and of the Odd Fellows lodge for many years. Mr. Flowers was born in North Carolina and moved to Mississippi when he was a child. He was married to Miss Emma Heardon, who died at Rule several years ago. They moved to Stonewall county where Mr. Flowers was engaged in farming and ranching for a number of years. He moved to Rule 30 years ago where he was in the furniture business until a few years ago when he retired. Survivors: 4 daughters - Mrs. J.V. Frizell of Stamford, Miss Bettie Flowers, Mrs. Fannie Lee Van Cleave and Mrs. E.T. Watson of Rule; 3 sons - W.H. Flowers of Aspermont, K.J. Flowers of Phoenix, AZ, P.L. Flowers of Whiteface; 13 grand; 9 great. Henry Flowers of Old Glory, another pioneer citizen is a cousin. The Stamford American August 14, 1936
