Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the First Baptist Church with Rev. Calvin Gray officiating. Burial will follow in the Highland Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Tankersley Funeral Home. Opal Faye Hatley was born August 6, 1918 to Jessie and Plony Ann Hatley in Frost, Texas. She married Thomas Walter Gilbreath in 1936 in Chatfield, Texas. They moved to Stamford in 1946 where she was a homemaker and helped her husband on the farm. She was a member of the First Baptist Church. Opal is survived by 2 daughters, Mary Ann Wright and husband Sam of Sweetwater, Sandra Elaine White and husband David of Stamford, 1 son, Louis Glen Gilbreath and wife Mary Lou of Stamford, 1 brother, Floyd Hatley of Coolidge, Texas and 1 sister, Suedell Kimble of Adkins, Texas, 9 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 3 brothers, Wayne Hatley, Dean Hatley, and Ralph Hatley.
