Hodges, West Texas pioneer, who died at her home in the Nugent community Wednesday, April 8. Rev. Hollowell, pastor of the Nugent Methodist church officiated. Mrs. Hodges, the former Miss Cleo Bernice Snell, was born September 15, 1885, in Hope county, Arkansas, and was married to E.E. Hodges, native Texan, in Gonzales county on December 4, 1901. They moved to the Nugent community in September 1908. She was a member of the Methodist church. Survivors: husband; 5 daughters - Mrs. C.H. Howard and Mrs. F. Archer, of Nugent; Mrs. A.E. Porter of O'Donnell, Bernie Gene and Peggy Genelle Hodges, who live at home; 2 grand - Lottie Muriel Howard, Francis Proctor and 1 sister - Mrs. W.F. Mills. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Maurice Hodges, who died at the age of three years. Source: The Stamford American April 17, 1936
