All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm *********************************************** Richard Lehman Richard Lehman, 41, manager and partner in the Strauss Dry Goods Company of Hamlin, was killed a few miles west of Palo Pinto early Tuesday, 15 September 1936. Mr. Money died in Breckenridge a few minutes after the accident. The accident occurrred at the Ione creek bridge. Mr. Lehman was driving the car. Mr. Lehman's body was taken immediately to Hamlin. Charles Strauss and Louis Rosenwasser of Stamford, friends of the deceased, went to Hamlin upon learning of the tragedy. The body was shipped from Hamlin for Cleveland, Ohio, for burial and was accompanied by Otto Berlin, an employee of Mr. Lehman, who formerly lived in Stamford. Mr. Lehman had recently returned from a visit to relatives in Germany. He was head of the Masonic Lodge and member of the Rotary club in Hamlin. Survivors: 2 sisters in Mickenheim, Germany; 3 brothers - Carl of Chicago and Otto and Ernest of Cleveland. Funeral services for Mr. Money were held at the Hamlin First Bapitst church conducted by Rev. J. Henry Littleton, pastor. Mr. Money was caretaker of the church. He was 66 years old and is survived by his wife, 6 daughters, 5 sons. Stamford American September 18, 1936
