Mr. Damaron was shot by Bob Martin, a night watchman for a gin, it was learned here. Bob Cowan of Leonard and Ree Orick of Peacock, said they thought perhaps Damaron did not hear the night watchman, since he was deaf. A companion of Damaron fled when the night watchman shouted at the men. The gin plant had burned two weeks ago and was being rebuilt and Martin was employed as a guard. Dameron's fingerprints were taken by request for further record by J.L. Johnson, member of the Stamford's police force. Damaron had lived here a number of years ago and had lived at Peacock in Stonewall county.
