He would have been 80 years old on 15 August 1937. Funeral held at St. John's Methodist Church Monday with Rev. E.A. Reed, pastor, and Rev. J.H. Hamblen, pastor of the Abilene First Methodist Church, formerly of Stamford officiating. Burial in the family plot at Highland cemetery near the grave of his mother, Mrs. Amanda Park, who died in 1927 at the age of 94. Dr. Ike Hudson and five grandsons - Mr. Park, Frances Swift, Park Swift, James Swift, Robert Eastus, Jr., Maurice Teague, were pallbearers. Mr. Park was born in Chickasaw county, Mississippi, 15 August 1857. He was married to Annie E. Matthews at Oxford, Mississppi, 58 years ago. They celebrated their golden wedding anniversary with a special party eight years ago. Mr. and Mrs. Park came to Texas in 1891, living first at Cisco, then spending 13 years in Callahan county. They then moved to Knox City and in 1918 moved to Stamford. Survivors: widow, 6 daughters - Mrs. Robert N. Eastus, Mrs. W.M. Teague of Abilene, Mrs. W.L. Swift of Knox City; Mrs. Lynn Williams of Putnam, Mrs. J.V. Everheart of Rotan and her twin sister, Miss Kate Marie Parks, and three sons - Howard and Doyle Park of Stamford, Floyd Park of Kansas City, Missouri; 33 grand, also survive.
