Patterson, 59, Lubbock cotton broker and former Stamford resident, died at the wheel of his overturned auto southwest of Lubbock Sunday. Mr. Patterson was returning alone from a business trip he made to Roswell, NM. Members of his family had gathered in Lubbock for a family reunion. Survivors: widow, 2 daughters - Mrs. E.T. Dayton of Fort Worth, Mrs. J.M. Teague, Jr. of Brownfield; 3 sons - T.E. Patterson of Lubbock, W.B. Patterson of Oklahoma City, Howard Patterson of Brownfield. Mr. Patterson was a brother-in-law of Mrs. N.H. Bickley of Stamford, Dr. and Mrs. Bickley, their daughter, Mrs. Reta Culbreath and Mrs. Curtis McElhaney of Fort Worth and Miss Robert Frances Culbreath of Stamford went to Lubbock Monday for the funeral. The Patterson family lived in Stamford for three years, from July 1909 until August, 1912, when Patterson was a partner with C.E. Bunkley in the drug store, Patterson and Bunkley.
