Wagoner, 78, familiarly known to his friends as "Wag", died Sunday, 16 August 1936 at the Cooper Hotel, in Stamford, where he had made his home since 1911. Suffering from a heart ailment for more than a year. He was stricken with an attack as he sat in his room listening to the radio. The body was conveyed to Wichita, Kansas, the home of a sister, Mrs. L.V. Reed and a brother, Frank Wagoner. C.S. Cooper of Stamford accompanied the body there. Funeral was held at Burlingame, Kansas and he was buried near the graves of his parents and a sister. Another brother, L.D. Wagoner, lives at Laredo, Kansas. Mr. Wagoner was unmarried. A niece, Miss Ruby Wagoner, was here from Wichita last week to see him. Mr. Wagoner was born in Buck Creek, Ohio, 4 March 1858. He came to Stamford in 1911 as a cattle buyer.
