Hunt April 21, 2003 KENEDY - Ann Gibson Hunt, 81, of Kenedy, died Friday, April 18, 2003. She was born Oct. 23, 1921, in Jasper, to the late R.B. and Lillian Youngblood Gibson. She graduated from Baylor University with a bachelor's degree. She taught Sunday school, vacation Bible school, English in Poland and Bible school in Switzerland. She was president of the Women Missionary Union, was active in the Progressive Study Club and Federated Women Club. She was a mentor at the State Prison in Kenedy for three years, a member of First Baptist Church and a homemaker. Survivors: husband, J. Truett Hunt; daughters, Marcia Ann Hunt of Kenedy and Margaret Rice of Victoria; son, Truett Lee Hunt of Kenedy; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by: parents; and brother, Radford Gibson. Services will be 2 p.m. today at First Baptist Church, the Rev. Tim Williams and Dr. Gene Rice officiating. Burial will be at Choate Cemetery in Choate. Eckols Funeral Home, Kenedy, 830-583-2533. Pallbearers: Ron Hyde, H.J. Kolinek, Gary Pogue, Jim Fox, Roy Lee Hunt, Justin Rice, Preston Parsons and Eddie Ruhmann. Honorary pallbearers: All deacons of First Baptist Church.
