MOCZYGEMBA Sr. KARNES CITY - Zafirin C. Moczygemba Sr., 71, of Karnes City, died Thursday, Aug. 7, 2003. He was born Sept. 22, 1931, in Cestohowa to the late Louis and Julia Kotara Moczygemba. He was retired from Karnes Electric Co-op with 39 years of service and served as commander of the Karnes City VFW Post No. 8572. He was a Korean War veteran, serving in the U.S. Army. He was a 4th degree Knight of the Karnes City Knights of Columbus, and was a Eucharistic minister at St. Cornelius Catholic Church. Survivors: wife, Lorene Kotzur Moczygemba; sons, Zafirin Moczygemba Jr. and Alvin Moczygemba, both of San Antonio; sisters, Theresa Zaiontz and Annie Krawietz, both of San Antonio; brother, A.J.
