Lieke, 93, of Kenedy, died Friday, April 4, 2003. She was born July 17, 1909, in Wilson County, to the late W.D. and Ida Baring Haverlah. She and her husband, Harry Lieke, owned and operated Lieke's Drug Store for 32 years. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Karnes City. Survivors: daughter, Merlene Rippstein of Kenedy; stepdaughter, Bernice McSween of San Antonio; son, Delbert Boysen of San Antonio; three grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and 12 step-great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by: husband; parents; sister, Olivia Schroder; and brothers, U.E. Haverlah, Elo Haverlah, Willie Haverlah and Lee Haverlah. Family visitation will begin 6 p.m. tonight at Eckols Funeral Home chapel. Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, the Rev. David Collins officiating.
