He was a retired truck driver for Schlumberger Oil Co. with 30 years of service and a member of Galilee Baptist Church. Survivors: daughters, Mildred Bailey, Mary Lewis, Clara Sheffield, Ernestine James, Betty Sauls, Florence Stephens, and Gloria Hopkins, all of San Antonio, Tommie Parks of Lavern, Calif., and Edna Dowson and Saundria Berry, both of Cypress; sons, Billy Ray Bailey of Los Angeles, Roy Bailey Jr. of Lake Viewterrace, Calif., Charles Bailey of Killeen, and Herbert Bailey of San Antonio; sister, Virginia Randon of Kenedy; brothers, Herbert Bailey and Willy Bailey, both of Los Angeles, James Bailey of Pomona, Calif., and Steve Bailey of Compton, Calif.; 48 grandchildren; 56 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
