GOTTHARDT HOBSON - Archie Glynn Gotthardt, 76, of Hobson, died Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2003. He was born March 8, 1927, in Kenedy, to the late Fred Henry and Clara Roberts Gotthardt. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII, was a soda jerk at Bailey's Drugstore, a cowboy, surveyor with Charles Klumpp Jr. and a rancher. He owned and operated Live Oak Meat Company and was director of the Karnes County Horse and Pony Club. He was a member of Karnes City Rotary Club, the Alamo Quarter Horse Association and First United Methodist Church in Karnes City. Survivors: wife, Hemona Hickok Gotthardt; daughters, Margaret Gotthardt and Melanie Johnson, both of Karnes City; sons, Mark Gotthardt of Karnes City and Matt Gotthardt of San Antonio; sister, Sul Kersh of Karnes City; and eight grandchildren. Preceded in death by: sister, Eula Gilley; and brother, Fred William Gotthardt. The family will receive visitors 5-7 p.m. tonight at Rhodes Funeral Home chapel. ADAME KENEDY - Victoria O. Adame, 89, of Kenedy, died Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2003. She was born March 23, 1914, in Concepcion, to the late Francisco and Cresencia Sandoval O'Balle. She was a homemaker and a member of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church. Survivors: sons, Pedro Garza of Colorado and Ramon Garza of Kenedy; and sister, Maria Segura of Karnes City. Preceded in death by: husband, Ernesto E. Adame; and brothers, Eluterio O'Balle, Ramon O'Balle and Esteban Reyes. She was born May 11, 1912, in Hallettsville, to the late John and Frances Mikulenka Bordovsky. She was the treasurer for KJZT lodge for 17 years and member of St. Cornelius Catholic Church. Survivors: daughters, Jo Ann Kroll of Hobson and Frances Zidek; sons, Tommy R. Polasek of Hobson, Rudolph J. Polasek of Karnes City, and Mike Polasek of Coy City; sister, Lucy Kowalik of Hobson; half brother, Dan Bordovsky of Hallettsville; 21 grandchildren; 55 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
