He was a lifetime member of the VFW, and was a member of American Legion and a millennium member of the National Rifle Association. He was a television repairman. Survivors: wife, Florence Scarborough; daughters, Elaine Scarborough of Beeville, Sheree Scarborough and Dorothy Scarborough Heffeman, both of Austin, Sandra Yanta of Karnes City, Marie Scarborough of Houston, and Shirley Eklund of San Antonio; sons, David Kaspryzk of Elgin and Clem Kaspryzk of Kenedy; sister, Mary Scarborough Sturken of San Antonio; 17 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. She owned and operated Blue Bonnet Motel and Gulf service station for 24 years. She was a lifetime member of the President's Circle at Abilene Christian University and a member of First Baptist Church.
