He was born July 28, 1919, in Nopal, to the late Chester Leon and Clara Jaeger Dybowski. He was the former owner of B&F Service Company, retiring in 1982, and a member of First Baptist Church. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during World War II. He served in the 36th division of Texas Headquarter Company, 142nd Infantry division, first battalion. He was awarded the Bronze Star, American Defense Medal, American Theater Medal, Victory Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Combat Infantryman Badge, Distinguished Unit Citation, four overseas stripes, EAME Theater ribbons with five Bronze and Silver Stars. They were married in Karnes City, Texas. They lived near Runge all of their lives. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Runge, Texas and a member of W.E.L.C.A.
