Falks - KENEDY KENEDY - James A. "Jim" Falks, 76, of Kenedy, died Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2005. He was born July 17, 1928, in Floresville, to the late James and Emma Metze Falks. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and was a retired machinist for Kelly Air Force Base. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Kenedy. Survivors: wife, Mary Falks; daughter, Carol Ann Lowther of Chugiak, Alaska; sons, Jim Ed Falks and Joe Mark Falks, both of San Antonio, and John Kevin Falks of Gonzales; 16 grandchildren; and five great- grandchildren. Preceded in death by: one granddaughter. The family will receive friends 5:30-7:30 pm. tonight at Eckols Funeral Home chapel. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, the Rev. She earned a bachelor's degree and master's degree in geology from the University of Texas. She was a homemaker a member of Daughters of American Revolution, San Antonio Conservation Society, Colonial Dames, Tri Delpa Sorority, and First Presbyterian Church in Karnes City. Survivors: sons, Hugh Bennett Ruckman III of Karnes City and Robert Dalton Ruckman of Palmdale, Calif.; and five grandchildren.
