Strmiska - KENEDY KENEDY - Dennis Lynn Strmiska, 52, of Kenedy, died Saturday, Dec. 31, 2005. He was born Oct. 3, 1953, in Kenedy, to Georgia Havelka Strmiska of Kenedy and the late Klement "Klem" M. Strmiska. He was owner and operator of D&N Weed and Pest Control and its Rental Division in Kenedy which manufactures steel oil field crew quarters. He also was a certified vocational agriculture teacher who received his degree from Texas A&M University. He was a Protestant. Survivors: wife, Tammy Strmiska of Kenedy; daughter, Tiffany Peay of Spicewood; son, Jeff Strmiska of Bulverde; sister, Shirley Wilson of Bertram; and two grandchildren. She was born Sept. 27, 1920, in Karnes City, to the late Emil and Anna Hunger Huckle. She was a teacher and worked for the U.S. Department of Agriculture, retiring after 30 years of service. She was a member of the Altar Guild and St. Paul's Lutheran Church. January 22, 2006 Schendel - RUNGE RUNGE - Marie Lee Schendel 76, passed away Friday, January 20, 2006 in Victoria, Texas. She was born November 22, 1929 in Skidmore, Texas to the late James Elmo and Mabel Fain Wheelis. She married Raymond L. Schendel on May 14, 1950 in Skidmore, Texas. She was a homemaker and during the course of raising five children, she was involved in almost every school activity her children participated. In addition, she was a Past Worthy Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter #106 and a member of the First United Methodist Church. She was a talented seamstress, enjoyed making and selling crafts, playing bingo and looked forward to twice yearly trips to Las Vegas with her sister Mildred. She will be dearly missed by her family, close friends and her cherished little feathered friends, the many hummingbirds she fed for many years. She is preceded in death by her parents, and her twin sister Mildred Shinn. Survivors are her husband, Raymond Schendel of Runge; daughters, Gail (Ralph) Jendrzey of Yorktown, TX and Elaine (Gary) Lingle of Corpus Christi, TX; sons, Scott (Mimi) Schendel of Runge, TX, Charles (Florence) Schendel of Runge, TX and Rev.
