Mitchel Thomas Mutz, lifetime resident of Falls City, entered into rest Wednesday, November 15, 2006 at the age of 23. Mitchel was a 2001 graduate of Falls City High School. He joined the Army in February 2003 and was a Cavalry Scout assigned with the 1st Battalion, 12th Cavalry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division out of Fort Hood. He was killed in action in Baqouba, Iraq while proudly defending his Country's freedom. Mitchel loved Country Music and attended every Kevin Fowler concert he could. Among his other Country favorites were Toby Keith and Pat Green. He also loved the Texas Aggies, fishing, golfing, and hanging out with his many friends and cousins. He is survived by his parents, Bobby and Dixie Mutz of Falls City; brother, Nathan Mutz and wife Shawna of Poth; paternal grandmother, Elizabeth Mutz of Floresville; maternal grandparents, Roy and Mary Louise Pullin of Kenedy; and his loving aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Philip Mutz and uncle, Billy Mutz. Visitation will begin at 5:00 P.M. Friday, November 24, 2006, in the Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Fall City, with a rosary at 7:00 P.M. Friday. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, November 25, 2006, in the Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Falls City. Interment and Military Honors will follow in the Holy Trinity Cemetery, Falls City, Texas.
