Additional Comments: Born Albert James "Jim" Sanders on 31 Jan 1920 in Tiverton, Devon, England, the oldest child and only son to Frank Sanders and Frances P. Lott, who were game keeper and head cook respectively for the famous Knightshayes Court of Sir John Heathcoat-Amory and his wife, Lady Joyce Heathcoat-Amory, owners of the reknown Tiverton lace factory. A decorated WWII bomber pilot, he was awared The Africa Star, The Burma Star, The Italy Star, The North Africa Bar, The War Medal and the Distinguished Flying Cross and Bar by the RAF, serving in numerous theaters. Husband of Kate Gill Marriott and father of two: Bruce James Sanders and Susan Frances Sanders. He died 22 Aug 1986 in Terrell, TX.
