WHARTON CEMETERY

This cemetery is well taken care of with a huge oak tree in it. From Kerrville, 
take St.Hwy.173 South.   When you pass the Loop 534 intersection, you will continue 
on SH 173 for about 3 miles to Wharton Road which is on the left.   Turn left onto 
Wharton Road and go about 1 1/2 miles to Wharton Cemetery.   It is next to the road with 
a fence around it and a gate.  The gate states the cemetery was established in 1870.

The original cemetery survey was done by Peggy Domingues and Arlene & Fred Tolman in 
1976.  In November 2004, James & Shirley Webb visited the cemetery and recorded the
updated information.
