STATE OF TEXAS, LAMAR COUNTY,
In District Court, Fall Term A.D. 1870.

To the Honorable A. J. Latimer, Judge of the Eight Judicial District of Texas,
holding the District Court for Lamar County.

The Petition of Ann M. Lee a recent citizen of the County and that aforesaid
would respectfully that she is the only surviving parent of the following
minor children, living with her in said County. To Wit: Peter A. Lee, Mary A.
Lee and Thomas Ella Lee, all of whom are under fourteen years of age, and have
no guardian.

She further states that Said Minors have and own a small amount of real estate
of about the value of One Hundred Dollars in Said County and State, and that
it is her prayer that the land can be sold in order to their support.

Wherefore she prays that Court after Legal Notice given to Appoint your
Petitioner Guardian of the persons and state of said union; and for all proper
relief is the premises.
