To M.J. Hathaway, Judge of the County Court of said County.
The Petition of W. Henshaw a resident of said County, respectfully represents
that Thomas Lee, Willie Lee and (Molly) Willie Cox, are all minors under the
age of fourteen years, and reside within the County of Lamar, where in their
Parents lately died, and are without legal guardians, and have neither Father
nor Mother living, and are the owners of property within said County of Lamar,
the probable value of which is One Hundred and twenty five dollars and that
said property is subject to waste for the want of proper care and attention.
Petitioner represents that said minors have no relatives, known to Petitioner
entitled by preference to the Guardianship, and that Petitioner is the Uncle
of said minors and is not legally disqualified from performing the duties
thereof. Wherefore your Petitioner prays that citation issued and that at the
next of said Court, letters of Guardianship of ;

To All persons interested in the (Welfare of Thomas Lee, Willie Lee and
(Molly-crossed out) Willie Cox, Minors, W. Henshaw) has filed in the County
Court of Lamar County, an application for Letters of Guardianship of the
persons and Estate of said Minors. Which will be heard at a regular term of
the said County Court, to be held on the First Monday in June A.D., 1888, at
the Court House thereof , in the City of Paris, Texas, at which time all
persons interested in said minors may appear and contest said application if
they see proper.

HEREIN FAIL NOT, under penalty of the law, and of this writ make due return.
ISSUED the 3rd day of April 1888:

belonging to Thomas & Willie Lee and 1/14th belonging to Willie Cox, both

hereby certify that as far as provided to us by the guardian, the above and
forgoing is a full and correct inventory and appraisment of the estate of

County Court, December Term, 1888:

Now comes W. Henshaw, Guardian of Thomas Lee and Willie Lee and Willie Cox,
minors, and shows to the Court that the income of his wards estate is not
sufficient for the education and maintenance of his said wards; That there are
no personal property or money belonging to said Ward's estate; and the
guardian further represents that in this opinion it will be to the interest of
said minors to sell the small undivided interest they have in a certain lot of
land in the City of Paris; to wit;
2/14 undivided interest in and to the old homestead place of Peter Lee and
wife Annie Lee, containing ¾ of an acre; 1/14th of said interest belonging to
Thomas & Willie Lee and 1/14th Willie Cox:
Wherefore your petitioner prays for citation and at the next term of this
Court for an order authorizing your petitioner to sell said property and that
the proceeds there of be applied to the education and maintenance of said---

(1M) ---- wards, and your petitioner prays for all orders necessary to carry
out said sale.
For an Exhibit of the condition of said Estate of said Wards the guardian
states that no claim has been presented and debts exist except costs that the
property aforesaid is the only property said minors have but it is in such
shape at to be unavailable for the benefit without selling it.

the County Court of Lamar County, Texas their application to sell the
following described Land belonging to said Estate, lying, being and situate in
the City of Paris, Lamar County. Being an Undivided 2/14ths interest in the
old Homestead Place of Peter Lee & wife Annie Lee containing 3/4 of an acre,
1/14th of said Interest belongs to Thomas & Willie Lee and 1/14th to Willie
Cox, for sale for education of said Wards.
Now, Therefore, These are to notify all persons interested in said Minors
Estates to be and personally appear at the next regular term of the honorable
County Court, to be holden thereof at the Court House in the City of Paris on
the 1st Monday in December A.D. 1888, same being the 3rd day of said Month,
and then and there to show cause why such sale should not be made, should they
choose to do so.

THE STATE OF TEXAS COUNTY COURT
LAMAR COUNTY DECEMBER TERM 1888
(?To C.S. Nathery/ L.C.S. Weathery?) Judge of said Court.
W. Henshaw Guardian of Thomas Lee, Willie Lee, and Willie Cox, respectfully
represents that heretofore; to wit; on this day, by virtue of an order of this
court heretofore posted on the 10th day of December 1888. Has sold on a credit
of 12 months with (13%?) interest from day to the following described property
belonging to his said Wards to wit;
An undivided interest in and to a lot of land in Lamar County, and within the
city of Paris and known as the Old Homestead Place of peter Lee and wife Annie
Lee, containing ¾ of an acre. To Wit: 1/14th interest belonging to Thomas and
Willie Lee and 1/14th to Willie Cox; that said Sale was made for, One hundred
and twenty five Dollars, with a Vendor's Lien on the land.
The Guardian believes said sale is a fair price and the best that could be
made and he asks the Court to confirm the same.

That we, W. Henshaw, as Principal and as Sureties, are held and firmly bound
unto J.C. Hunt, County Judge of Lamar County, and his successors in office, in
the sum of One hundred Dollars, for the payment of which well and truly to be
made, we bind ourselves, our heirs executors and administrators, firmly by
these presents.
THE CONDITIONS OF THIS OBLIGATION IS SUCH, That whereas the above bounden, W.
Henshaw has been appointed Guardian of Thomas Lee and Willie Cox; Minors.
Now, if the said W. Henshaw shall faithfully discharge the duties of Guardian
of the Estate of said Thomas Lee and Willie Cox, required of him by law under
said appointment, then the obligation shall be null and void; other wise to
remain in full force and effect.

Respectfully represents that one of his Wards, to wit; Willie Lee, has arrived
at the full age and your petitioner, therefore presents this his Final Acct
for the settlement of his Guardianship as to said Willie Lee, whose residence
is ____County, State of Oregon.
To 1/4th of $125.00 for which the interest of Wards in a lot of land was sold
as per Sale Report filed, December 10th 1888, after deducting the following
expenses; To Wit:

COUNTY COURT, COUNTY OF LAMAR, DECEMBER TERM 1897;

To the County Court of said County Court. The Petition of W. Henshaw, Guardian
of Thomas Lee and Willie Cox, Minors; respectfully shows that one of his
Wards; to wit;
Thomas Lee has come to full legal age and petitioner presents this his Final
Settlement Account as to said Ward. The residence of his said Ward is Marion
County, State of Oregon.

Petitioner shows that hie was Guardian of the three minors, Willie Lee, Thomas
Lee, and Willie Cox; and the joint Estate of all three of them was $125.00 in
money. That Willie Lee and Thomas Lee were jointly entitled to one half of
said estate, and Willie Cox the other half. That said Willie Lee having become
of age, a settlement as to him was made, by Final Account at the March Term of
this Court 1896 and therefore the interest of said Ward Thomas Lee is ½ of ½
of said Estate after costs and expenses are deducted and

Petitioner presents his account as follows;
Credit Debits
To Amount due all three of the Wards; $125.00
By Atty.-fees; $15.00
By Recording two deeds; $02.00
By Taxes for 1889; $00.25
By Clerks Cost; $12.75
By City Tax; $02.63

Leaving Amount due all Three $84.70. One half of which said Willie Lee and
Thomas Lee was entitled to; $42.35. Said Ward Willie Lee having already been
settled with, there remains to the present Ward, Thomas Lee, $21.17 ½ .
Wherefore, Petitioner prays for citation to said Thomas Lee; and on hearing
that this account for Final Settlement be approved, and filing full receipts
for Final Discharge as to the Guardianship of Thomas Lee.
