Lee, of the County of Lamar and State of Texas, in consideration of the sum of Six Hundred dollars in U.S. Treasury notes (commonly called Guaranteed Surety note of even/new date with the deed-have this day granted bargained sold and released unto E.L. (Dohenry?) of Said County and State (a certain tract of lot of land, Situated within the city of Paris in the County of Lamar and State of Texas, being a part of the Headwright of Isaiah Davis and (?Truman?), as follows-to wit; Beginning at the SE corner of L/G. H. William's five acres, Lots in said City a Stake; thence East 25 poles 7 feet-4 inches and Oak Stump the south west corner of William William's and Mathis Lot, thence north with their line to the S.W. corner of John Tyler's Lot and along the west line 21 feet and 6 inches to the S.E. corner of E.L. Dohenry's land, thence, west with said Dohenry's line 28 poles 9 feet and 4 inches to a Stake L.H. Williams East line. Thence South with said line 25 poles and 11 feet and 6 inches to the place of beginning. Containing 4 acres and 74 4/10 poles more or less with the execution of a strip (?21) feet on the north side thereof heretofore and by a (? 10th lien?) to C.C. Waters and (?) Waters to said E. H. Dohenry together with all and singular the rights (? Hereditaments?) and appertanances to the same belonging or in anywise appertaining. To have and to hold all and Singular the premises above mentioned unto the said E. L Dohenry, his heirs and (?assignees) –forever. And I do hereby bind myself my heirs executors, administrators to warrant and forever defend the title to said premises unto the said E. L Dohenry and his heirs and assigns against every person where ever carefully claiming or to claim the same or any part thereof. Witness my hand and scroll for seal this March 4th AD 1866, P.A.
