THE PARIS NEWS, Thursday, October 14, 1920, p. 1
"Died in Comanche County.  J. W. McCrum, who was a former resident of Lamar 
County, 3 ½ miles south of Petty, died last week at DeLeon, Comanche county, 
to which place he had moved several years ago.  He was 48 years old and leaves 
several children.  He is also survived by both his parents and three brothers, 
all of whom live at Powderly."
