The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in Gene Roden & Sons chapel here and burial made in Mount Tabor Cemetery at Caviness. Daughter of the late A.J. Rose Sr., and the former Kittie Lou Cunningham, Mrs. Smith was born at Faught, Paris, Rt. 6 Nov. 6, 1888. She was a member of Springlake Baptist Church here. Surviving are these children: J.C. Smith, Casey Smith, Chester Smith, James Smith, Mrs. James Stephenson, and Mrs. Henry Harbuck, all of Pairs; Jack Smith and Lois Smith, Manteca, Calif.; Stanley Smith, Houma, La.; Bailey Smith, Muskogee, Okla.; Walker Smith, Arlington; Mrs. A.B. Foot, Vacaville, Calif.; Mrs. J.O. Fisher, Brenham; Mrs. Bill Davidson, Cleveland; Mrs. Jewel Whitaker, Fort Worth, and Mrs. Otis Nicholas, Borger; 18 other descendants, and these brothers and sisters: A.J. Rose, Powderly; Mrs. Dora Walker, Mrs. Irene Burch, Mrs. Jimmie Vincent and Mrs. Johnnie Bab_, all of Paris; Mrs. Dovie Thompson, Blossom; Mrs. Birdie Cox, Ceres, Calif., and Mrs. Wilma O'Roarke, Denver, Colo. Mrs. Smith was a niece of R.L. (Bob) Rose. Paris.
