Wharton, route one, Hugo, who died at a local rest home Thursday following an illness of nine months. He was 93 years old. Mr. Wharton was born Nov. 1, 1866 in Powderly, Tex. He was a retired farmer and had lived here 44 years, moving from Lamar County, Tex. He was a member of the Free Will Baptist Church. Survivors include five sons, Allen of Gainsville, Tex., Murray of Agnew, Calif., Mark of Soper, Maxie of Antlers, and Floyd of Chicota, Tex.; three daughters, Mrs. Georgia Gallant of Soper, Mrs. Ruby Ham of Era, Tex., and Mrs. Faye Stillwell of Soper; and a number of grand and great grandchildren
