Sobotik, 66, well known farmer of the Hallettsville area, died Thursday morning in a local hospital after a long illness. Born in the Breslau area north of Hallettsville, Mr. Sobotik was married to Miss Frances Sitka in 1918. They settled on a farm just west of Hallettsville, and had lived there since. He was a member of KJT Society and St. Isidor Lodge. Funeral services will be held at 9:15 a.m. Saturday at Kubena Funeral Home, with a Requiem High Mass to be held at 9:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. The Rt. Rev. Msgr. A. J. Morovsky will be celebrant of the Mass, the Rev. Alton Rudolph will have the sermon in English, and Rev. H. F. Psencik will have the sermon in Czech. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cathollc Cemetery. Surviving are his wife; four sons, William and Norbert of Hallettsville, Louis Jr. of Baytown and Ben of Taylor; two daughters, Mrs. Jodie Bludau and Mrs. Frankie Bludau, both of Hallettsville; two brothers, Rudolph of Schulenburg and Julius of Freeport; three sisters, Mrs. Paul Henneke of Hallettsville, Miss Agnes Sobotik of Dallas and Mrs. Hermina Havel of Kerrville; and 27 grandchildren.
