Headstones for Stanford and Elizabeth, professionally made, have Donaldson. Their children’s stones, not so well made, and worn almost beyond reading, have Donnelson. Mrs Greer says the name is Donnelson/Donelson. Mrs. Bula Donelson told the compiler that the early family spelled it with two “N” but later generations dropped one of them.
